There is a lot of history in Lucan and many stories to be told including ones of the Wilberforce Settlement, the Irish settlers and the infamous Donnelly tragedy. The Lucan Area and Heritage Donnelly Museum is proud to continue honouring this history and sharing it with residents and visitors who stop by. Their motto 'Remembering Our Past to Establish Our Future' holds true and members of the Lucan Area Heritage work hard to honour this motto.

Tell us a bit about this organization and what you do.

My name is Thomas Levesque and I am the Museum Supervisor at the Lucan Area Heritage and Donnelly Museum in the Township of Lucan Biddulph. The Museum has been operating for over 25 years. It was established in 1995 by the Lucan Heritage Society. The things we have to experience here include a range of artifacts from Lucan's history most notably, the Black Donnelly family.

How have you found your experience doing business in Middlesex County?

Doing business in Middlesex County has been easy and pleasant. Businesses in the community always seem to be willing to step in and help. The municipality is always very happy to help promote the museum, which is a great benefit to us.

We're at the center of a lot of different towns and cities that give us a big population to draw from in terms of tourism. - Thomas Levesque
