Small meeting or major celebration... the community centres throughout Middlesex County provide an ample assortment of facilities big and small to host your next event.
Ailsa Craig Recreation Centre
The Ailsa Craig Recreation Centre is a multipurpose facility located in the Village of Ailsa Craig. Built in the early ‘90s, this facility was designed to host a multitude of events; from weddings to gymnastics, to an international quilt festival, this facility has hosted everything. This facility is also the home of the Ailsa Craig Cooperative Play School. The facility has the following bookable rooms: the small room, the main hall, and the kitchen. The small room is often booked for meetings, small classes, or smaller gatherings (showers, birthdays, etc.). It is also used quite often as a servery during weddings, stag and does, and dinners.
Caradoc Community Centre
Caradoc Community Centre is a great facility for wedding receptions, dances, special events, and other community activities. The CCC features a banquet hall with two adjoining rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bar area. With a dining capacity of 370 people and reasonable rental rates, the CCC is an ideal location for your next event.
Ekfrid Community Centre
The Ekfrid Community Centre is located in Appin Ontario. With rooms available to rent for your next big event, big or small, the community centre sits just over 100 guests with tables.
Gemini Sportsplex
Gemini Sportsplex is a twin-pad ice facility that offers amenities for meetings, conferences, and special events. In the past, we have been pleased to host events such as NHL Alumni games, the World Curling Championship, the Ontario Indoor Speed Skating Championship, and the World U-17 Hockey Challenge.
Ilderton Community Centre
Located adjacent to the Ilderton Arena (but not attached), the Ilderton Community Centre offers a perfect venue for your wedding, family gathering, meeting or community event. The centre features vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, hardwood floors, and natural lighting.
With two rooms - one larger main hall with seating for 280 and one smaller meeting room with seating for 70 - an industrial kitchen, bar area and foyer, the space offers many possibilities for your special event. Chairs, tables, dishes, cutlery, coffee percolators and a state-of-the art PA system are included to planning your event easier!
Komoka Community Centre
The Komoka Community Centre is located within Komoka Park. The Community Centre is designed similarly to the Delaware Community Centre and has a meeting room and main hall (with full catering kitchen) used for banquets as well as indoor sports such as badminton, floor hockey, fitness, and basketball. The centre also contains a third room that was formerly used as the Komoka Library (until it moved to the Community Wellness Centre); this space is currently being used for occasional rentals.
Lucan Community Memorial Centre
The Lucan Community Memorial Centre is an ideal location for athletic programs, birthday parties, large events, weddings, stag & doe’s and fundraisers. Tables & chairs are included free of charge along with setup and hall rental includes use of the kitchen, which is equipt with a large walk-in fridge, stove, oven, warmers, dishwasher, plates, cups and cutlery for a sit-down meal of 300+. Licensed, bar service is also available.
Southwest Middlesex Arena & Swimming Pool
Single ice pad arena with rooms available for meetings and events. Ice available fall and winter for figure skating, public skating, hockey.
The FlightExec Centre
The FlightExec Centre is the heart of the town's recreation, culture and parks system. With a variety of different rooms to choose from, whether you're hosting a birthday party, planning a work meeting or searching for the perfect venue for your wedding, The FlightExec Centre has a variety of rooms to suit your needs.
Thorndale Community Centre
The Thorndale Lions Community Centre is the hub of where everything happens in the community. After a devastating fire destroyed the Centre in 2020, The new Thorndale Community Centre was built in its place only a year after, doubling the footprint of the original. The new Community Centre includes a spacious gymnasium, three large meeting rooms seating up to 500 people, change rooms and other amazing amenities!
