When in Middlesex County, there is plenty of opportunity to immerse yourself in different activities and experiences. Yet, with the endless possibilities of what we can do, and only having 24 hours in a day, we thought we would save you the planning, and cultivate the perfect Middlesex County bucket list.

Whether you are treating yourself to a day out, or wanting to create lifelong memories with your loved ones, we have made sure our summer bucket list has something for everyone to enjoy!

ALPACA YOUR BAGS! LET'S GO MAKE SOME FURRY FRIENDS!

alpaca walks

When in Middlesex County, unique experiences are a lot closer than you’d think! We are lucky to be home to a variety of alpaca farms, providing our residents and visitors with the ability to meet these furry, friendly animals. The social nature and affectionate personality of these gentle and intelligent creatures makes them an excellent guest to bring along on a peaceful country walk, or participate in even more exclusive experiences! Check out our Agri-Tourism page on our website to plan your next trip!

IT'S TIME FOR SOME FLARE!

fireworks

After 2 years of halting local community Canada Day celebrations, it’s time to bring out your best red and white and celebrate Canada together with some fireworks!! Oh how we’ve missed the glowing, loud, and extravagant sight of fireworks, with each POP celebrating a momentous experience of our lives. Fireworks are a perfect addition to our summer bucket list, as they signify the many reasons we deserve to celebrate the resiliency of our country, and our ability to come together as a community once again! This year, many local communities are hosting Canada celebratory events for all to enjoy, so check out our Events page for further details and updates on where you can see fireworks!

GOING FOR THE WHEEL DEAL!

drive in movies

Although we all love the typical movie theatre experience, there’s just something about drive-in movies that gives off an added layer of comfort. Whether it’s watching in the comfort of your own bubble, or not having to worry about tommy texters and sally seat kickers, this summer, the Mustang Drive-In is on our bucket list because who doesn’t love cozying up to a movie under the stars?

KEEP CALM AND BERRY ON!

berry picking

Everything tastes better local, and this summer we’re craving something extra sweet with berry picking quite possibly being the sweetest activity of all! Whether you prefer strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries, berry picking is an experience that will not only allow you to create lasting memories, but will also leave you with a delicious souvenir to enjoy! If you’re unable to make it out to some of our u-pick and ready-picked farms this year, there’s many other ways you can get your hands on local produce, like at our weekly Farmer’s Markets!

PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR HEART IS: SHOP LOCAL!

Not only do they make local and quality food so accessible, but it also gives us an opportunity to support our community and local producers, while enjoying delicious food, seasonal goods, and fun entertainment! Check out our Country & Farm Markets page to find out when each market is running!
