We got a front row seat to the excitement at the Grand Opening of Timbuktu Alpaca & Eco-Tourism Farm on Earth Day, April 22nd 2023. If you’re looking to create joyful memories, Timbuktu Alpaca & Ecotourism Farm has adventures for all ages.
Timbuktu is located just outside of Strathroy at 2211 Egremont Drive. A wide range of activities are available including a calming early morning walk with an alpaca in tow, or grounding your feet in a round of yoga with a curious alpaca by your side. This unique alpaca farm showcases the powerful connection between humans and nature.
As you head up the gravel driveway you can hear the soft humming of the alpacas coming from the barn. The green pastures and endless horizon make for a warm welcome as excitement to meet the heard of alpacas ensues. Owner, Thandi, has created an inclusive destination for those looking to connect with the land and enjoy new experiences. Starting this May to October, “Barn Socials” are open to the public on Sunday afternoons for a variety of vendors to share and demonstrate their products. The farm’s key demographic is young families for its engaging and educational activities but welcomes everyone to enjoy their range of offerings, with new ones week to week!
