Middlesex’s museums bring the past to life! Rare artifacts and memorabilia provide insight into the community and its settlers.  Stories of families and their heritage preserved, recreated and displayed creating an opportunity for you to step back in time.

Ekfrid Township Museum

This local museum is located in the town's former Orange Hall and Appin Post Office buildings. Visitors can explore displays relating to the area and artifacts dating from the late 1800s. Fanshawe Pioneer Village

Fanshawe Pioneer Village is an early example of the museum type known as a “Pioneer Village,” initially developed in mid-20th century Ontario by Conservation Authorities.

Komoka Railway Museum

A portion of the museum is housed in the former Canadian National Railway station in Komoka, Ontario. Many railroad items are available for close examination including telegraph keys, spike hammers, spike pullers, switch lanterns, steam gauges, a railroad safe, a baggage sleigh and a three-wheel velocipede.

Lucan Area Heritage & Donnelly Museum

Our museum offers: tours of the museum and heritage buildings, vigilante bus tours, group tours, school programs, escape room bookings, and various events throughout the year.

Mossley Post Heritage And Citizenship Society

In operation since 1987, "Our mission is to provide Thames Centre residents with a cultural and social facility, and to promote historical knowledge and an appreciation of our local heritage."

Museum Strathroy-Caradoc

Located in downtown Strathroy, Museum Strathroy-Caradoc is dedicated to telling the stories of our local heritage. Home of the Sir Arthur Currie Memorial, the museum hosts a mix of rotating exhibits. Admission & parking are free!

North Middlesex Historical Society Museum

The North Middlesex Historical Society is actively involved in the preservation of the history of North Middlesex through a Historical Society as well as a Museum and Research site located in Ailsa Criag in the former Baptist and Anglican Churches.

Ska-Nah-Doht Village & Museum

Ska-Nah-Doht, a recreated longhouse village of 1,000 years ago. The Museum, located in the Longwoods Resource Centre, offers hands-on exhibits of First Nations culture and displays of artifacts from the archaeological collection.
