Throughout the year, almost every community in Middlesex County has a festival or event that is sure to entertain. From early spring maple bush tours to late winter Santa Claus appearances you can spend every season enjoying the small town charm that the towns and hamlets have to offer.

Battle of Longwoods

Festival: Battle of the Longwoods

This annual event is held on the first weekend in May and features military re-enactors, camp followers and merchants from Ontario and nearby States meet to bring the war of 1812 to life and recreate the battle of Longwoods.

Taking you back to March 4, 1814, when British troops attempt to expel American invaders. You will be able to hear the crack of the musket and the roar of the cannon, see the colourful uniforms, and smell the food prepared over open fires.
